About Ed Black
So here
is a little bit about me, Ed Black.
I am a Licensed Private
Investigator, a Certified Public
Accountant, a Certified Fraud Examiner
and a Certified
Internal Auditor
with four decades of experience investigating frauds across the United States and
in Western Europe.
Although I was educated as an accountant and received a "Bachelor’s" in business administration
from Adelphi
University (Garden City, Long Island, New York),
I have always
immersed himself in American history,
from my days as a youth reading
American Heritage magazine
to my current membership
in the American Historical Association.
In addition to my professional
investigative work, I enjoy immensely
writing fiction and nonfiction stories as well as screenplays.
On the personal side, I am
blessed with the two "kids" who are as talenetd as they are just plain good people.
My daughter
Jessica is a construction engineer and super great artist
and my son Edson is a professional guitarist, actor and screenwriter.
I
I also spend as much time as I can with my super great grandkids,
Osvaldo and Octavia,
while
they patiently teach me (once
again),
how to use my iPad to download cool games and videos.
I am also a proud
long-time member of my home town's police reserve force.
As detailed in the PREFACE page (reprinted from the book), it was while I was working
as an Associate Director of Internal Audit at Columbia University, in New York City, that I began the historical research
that would eventually result in the publication of:

The Forgotten
Frauds Of American History
